UK Lottery on BBC

The UK National Lottery draw will carry on to be broadcasted on the BBC after the broadcaster held a new deal with UK lottery operator Camelot. Camelot's officials said it was discussion to the BBC about new ideas interactive platforms, counting mobile phones. The novel deal was singed after both the BBC and ITV placed bids to show the live draw. This would make sure that the National UK Lottery would continue to be aired at Wednesdays till the end of 2007, at least.

The first National Lottery Draw was broadcast on 19 November 1994 on BBC One's The National Lottery Live. As well as showing the Saturday night draws on BBC One in primetime, the new concord covers programs for the Wednesday night draws, BBC hours of daylight schedules, local radio and TV, and content for interactive, broadband and potentially mobile platforms.
